Despite the legal protection that protects pregnant and lactating women from immigration operations, Natacha, Merteliz and Madochenie were taken to the Belladiere-Elías Piña border point, like hundreds of other women, without considering their status, without exhausting the previous procedure, nor Valuing elements of roots, as part of the immigration control measures focused on women that the Dominican government has implemented since last September. The protagonists of the documentary report, prepared by the journalist and producer Tony Pichardo, recount the situation faced by working mothers, the uncertainty given the proximity of their deliveries, the anguish caused by the separation of their children who have remained in Santo Domingo and husbands who they move to look for their partners who have not returned to their homes. Likewise, the audiovisual reflects the solidarity and sorority of Dominican women who have taken care of infants. The audiovisual is a production of the Dignified Treatment Project, a triennial initiative that monitors respect for the rights of migrants and compliance with due process in matter of deportations in the border area.
